All Outset camps are guided by American Camp Association policy and safety standards, and all camp staff receive background checks and thorough pre-camp training. We partner with HOSA and NCHSE as well.

Our mission is to help the next generation of North Carolina physicians prepare for the pre-med path. Our vision is to be the leading pre-med program for North Carolina high school students with a serious interest in medical careers.
We understand that the path to becoming a physician, nurse, PA, or other healthcare practitioner is not easy. Many students are interested in the medical path only to drop out during pre-med courses in college. We believe this often due to a lack of preparation, planning, and guidance for students on the medical path.
Outset was founded to help prepare students for the pre-med path. We are focused on practical, real guidance on how medical education really works.
We have three core values that inform everything we do at Outset. These values are simple, but every decision we make about programming or strategy is guided by these principles.
